A full scale renovation saw this beautiful 1950s beach house transformed into a contemporary home for a retired couple.

The clients brief was to completely open up their home to the uninterrupted views over Pittwater whilst being respectful towards the original architecture.

The alterations and additions where designed with entertaining in mind; the floorplan was completely reconfigured to increase both the internal and external entertaining areas. Open plan living areas were fundamental to the design in allowing the inhabitants to connect with the beauty of the surrounding environment.

A highly considered approach to detailing reduced to monochromatic tones give the original architecture a voice whilst emphasising the stunning natural environment visible from each room.

Soft, textured interior elements were selected to soften the paired back palette.
