Bilgola House
Alterations and Additions
Under Construction
A complete renovation of an existing brick home situated on a 840sqm north facing block with vistas across to Pittwater.
The exterior of the existing residence was updated to respond more sensitively to its surrounding context. A dark and earthy palette was selected to reduce the scale of the built form and allow the building to sit harmoniously within the site. The introduction of weatherboard cladding and covered balconies spanning the width of the front façade provide a relaxed, yet sophisticated aesthetic.
The renovation saw a major re-planning of the ground floor plan, with the new living area expanding a further 9m to the rear of the existing house. Large bifold doors open up to extend the living space with the new deck and incorporated pool, allowing the inhabitants to further connect with the beauty of their surrounding environment.
